About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef to join our team, working in the Main Kitchens, here at Butlin’s, Bognor Regis. To provide a consistent professional approach to all guests through the highest standards of product and service. To actively contribute to meeting and exceeding sales targets and profit margins. 

This is a hand on active role within our busy main kitchens, these kitchens are responsible for serving all food to our hotel guests, half board guests and our team.

The hours of work will vary, with the earliest start time of 5am and a latest finish of 8pm, all shifts are a minimum of 7 hours long. Depending on the shift will depend on the duties, these could be breakfast prep chef for our early morning chefs, salad and dessert prep chefs for our middle of the day shifts and our carvery / grill chefs for the later shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• To actively contribute to meeting and exceeding sales targets and profit margins. 
• To provide menus as required by the customer 
• To prepare menu items as per the chef's requirements and ensure personal presentation is of the highest standards at all times to project a professional image to customers
• To take pro-active steps to work with the senior team in the kitchen to provide menus as required by the customer 
• To maintain the correct procedures for stock control and monitoring according to departmental policy
• To assist with deliveries into the kitchen as required 
• To promote the requirement for minimal wastage throughout the kitchen 
• To maintain the correct procedures for stock control and monitoring according to departmental policy
• Maintain a safe, secure and appealing environment by ensuring compliance to company policy for Health, Safety & Hygiene, as well as all other aspects of relevant legislation.
• Adhere to company policy and legislation at all times.
• The kitchen cleaning programme is monitored and shortfalls in standards auctioned. 

Requirements
• Previous experience within multi-site, high volume food role
• Intermediate food hygiene certificate (Essential)
• Relevant Industry experience and qualifications desirable but not essential as training can be offered
• Computer literate
