Marketing Manager - 12 Months Mat Cover

Butlins are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join the F&B Team based at our Hemel Support to help us develop and implement our marketing plans to deliver business growth. As a Marketing Manager, you will be a creative thinker, enjoy problem-solving and be highly motivated. Working closely with the wider F&B and Marketing Teams at Butlin’s, you’ll enjoy building relationships and managing a variety of marketing projects across all of our varied break types.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, office based from the Bourne Leisure Head office in Hemel Hempstead, with occasional visits to our three resorts throughout the year.

This F&B Marketing Manager role is to manage the development and production of all campaigns and marketing material for bars, grab & go* and café venues* across all break types, to grow the value of a Butlin’s break and provide memorable experiences to delight our guests.

*Ensure the current years marketing plan is delivered on time and on budget.
*Develop the following years marketing plan for bars (including arena breaks) in line with the F&B marketing strategy.
*Development of marketing plan for any additional venues accountable for in line with the F&B marketing strategy.
*Clear communication and discovery with resort teams including providing briefing documents and follow up feedback.
*Organising the design, print, reprints and delivery of all drinks menus and point of sale material for bars and any additional venues accountable for. The use of Media Centre will be required in order to brief jobs into our internal studio – full training will be provided.
*Developing relationships with Brand Partners to plan effective and efficient use of A&P funding.
*Organising relevant updates following NPD information supplied by SOHO Coffee for our Wave Hotel and all Costa Proud to Serve venues.
*Support the bars team incentive schemes.
*Liaising with the wider marketing team (brand, web, app, pre-arrival and social) to ensure accurate communication of our offering within other channels.
*Looking after an assigned budget, raising purchase orders and inputting into the F&B tracker.
*The appropriate filing of artwork and assets in internal folders and Media Centre.
*Updating and management of the ‘shopping list’ requirements for bars and any other venues accountable for.
*Managing the effective use of all Beyond Digital controlled screens, BTV and all USB led bar screens.
*Support timely reviews (financial, guest and team feedback) of what’s worked well and what we could do differently with all campaigns and marketing material produced.
*Keep on top of trends and competitors marketing and play an active role in putting forward new ideas.

*The successful candidate for this position will have gained a minimum of 5 years marketing or brand management experience within a similar environment.
*Creative individual with a great eye for detail.
*A genuine interest in all things F&B!
*Can demonstrate knowledge and execution of marketing campaigns experience.
*Strong interpersonal skills.
*Excellent written and verbal communication.
*Highly organised with great project management skills.
*Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
*Experience of multi-tasking, prioritising and managing own workload.
*Comfortable with working to budgets and ensuring all projects are delivered in a cost effective and timely manner.
*Experience of managing cross-channel marketing plans with a focus on content.
