The Guest Catering BOH Manager is responsible for the efficient running of the dishwashing and hygiene area and catering provisions within our Guest Catering department, reporting directly to the Guest Catering Head of Department.
The Manager role is key in delivering high levels of service to positive impact our guests experience and the Guest Catering department.
The Guest Catering BOH Manager is responsible for the BOH team making sure they are fulfilled and supported in order to perform to a high standard. Ensuring the seamless day to day running of the provision stores and ordering.
Daily health and safety checks along with paperwork approval, including completion of department H&S weekly, monthly and quarterly checks.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company Fire, Hygiene and H&S policies within your area of responsibility including updating H&S boards and files
Manage correct team levels aligning to labour budgets, using SAM to complete team rosters 3 weeks in advance, and managing team holiday, along with daily and weekly timesheet approval.
Support and coach the team members during service to ensure that their workload is manageable and give support when necessary.
Manage and implement team training both initial and ongoing. Implementation and support of individual team members PDP's and performance and provide feedback.
Performance management and disciplinary procedures.
Actively be part of the recruitment process, including attending interviews, making great selection choices and ensuring team member inductions are delivered in adherence to the 90 day framework.
Hold team meetings to communicate department and resort performance and activity.
Use IBUY to place orders including food, equipment and chemicals. Liaising with Head Chef/ Catering Administrator on the day to day basis regarding food orders, new products sourcing and cost analysis.
Facilitation of functions and events.
Service periods spent working along side and leading team including the allocation of tasks.
Work with BOH and FOH Guest Catering Managers and team in order to work effectively and efficiently together to provide our guests with a great Guest Catering experience.
Challenge themselves and others to innovate in any areas that will help the results of the business.
The ideal candidate must :
Have experience in a busy stores/provision’s or BOH dish washing environment with a commitment to consistent delivery.
Have previous experience of leading a team, and a hands-on management style, with the ability to build relationships with the Resort management team.
Trained on SAM payroll system and IBUY ordering systems.
Basic food hygiene is an advantage however training will be provided.
Forklift licence is an advantage, but training will be provided.
Understand different communication styles, and an ability to communicate and motivate effectively.
Have problem solving attitude, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadline whilst retaining a positive attitude.
Must be flexible with regards to working hours, to meet the deadlines of both the business and team.
Be able to focus on the detail and prioritise to ensure the biggest positive impact is achieved
