We are looking for a Brand Designer to join our Brand Identity team here at Butlin’s.
Reporting to the Brand Identity Manager, the Brand Designer will join our growing creative team and play a key role in helping define, shape and evolve our brand, taking on board our mission, purpose and consumer insights and translating them into a visual language that raises the creative bar for use across both online and offline channels.
The Brand Designer will look beyond just the visual aesthetic and ensure both brand integrity and brand experience are at the forefront of their work, maintaining brand standards across our Family, Live Music Weekends and Conference and Events propositions.
This is a new role for someone that can work in collaboration with our Marketing, Product and Resort functions, leading the development and creative focus of our visual identity and crafting visually compelling and original creative ideas across a breadth of projects.
You will be responsible for:
Championing the Butlin’s visual language and creative to ensure we continue to attract and drive consideration from new guests.
Evolving and refining our existing brand identity and guidelines, ensuring that all Butlin’s creative output is consistent across channel and of the highest quality and importantly ladders back up to our brand proposition.
Owning, shaping, and delivering pixel perfect creative assets that demonstrate insight and innovation; are solutions that engage the guest; and are expressions of thinking in words or images.
Interpreting new creative briefs from our marketing and product teams for implementation across a variety of offline and online mediums, including campaign, social media, web content, digital screens, on resort and product focussed developments.
Collaborating with our in-house creative artworkers on large and small-scale projects, leading by example and setting clear guidelines and expectations of what good looks like to ensure all outputs are fit for platform and audience and that brand vision is delivered.
Communicating your ideas to key stakeholders, from ideation and research through to presenting mock-ups and producing final assets.
We are looking for:
Proven experience as a Brand / Visual designer in an agency or in-house design team with a supporting portfolio of work demonstrating creative excellence, brand development and design discipline.
You should have a strong, creative approach and pure passion for design, with an eye for detail, an obsession with design fundamentals, and a desire to learn, grow and push the boundaries of our brand identity.
Be an excellent visual communicator – both verbally and written, as well as a mastery of composition, imagery, typography, iconography and colour.
Fluent with Figma / Sketch / XD and Adobe CC – including After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Knowledge of UI, HTML and web design is a massive bonus.
A keen interest and ability in motion graphics, animation and video editing. This digital focus will support our brand narrative online and engage and excite our audiences.
