As a sous chef you will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen and be able to manage the kitchen efficiently in their absence, we are looking for the right people to join our dedicated hard-working team of chefs in our Guest Catering department. We have five restaurants for our half board guests to enjoy, all are Buffett style, with different dining packages available to our guests. The Candidate will have positive outlook and a can-do attitude even when working under pressure. We are looking for people who:
Have relevant industry qualifications (Level 2 NVQ or Diploma in Professional cookery)
Work to provide a professional level of service, to create inspiring environments and be instrumental in motivating, coaching and developing all the Team.
Be responsible for providing a high level of quality food, maintain hygiene standards, ensure all food buffets are garnished and presented to pre-agreed requirements.
Use the correct processes and equipment for specific tasks as agreed with Resort Development chef/Head Chef.
Ensure proper arrangement and garnishing of food.
Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size, and temperature.
Work towards exceeding guest's expectation by encouraging and promoting high level of service
Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production.
Normal Working hours:
Could vary between 7am and 10pm both in our buffet style restaurants and restaurant venues.
Be able to work split shifts.
The business is operational 7 days a week, where rest days can vary.
