About the Role

 We’re looking for a Duty Manager to join the team at The Diner, one of our most popular restaurants on resort! For guests looking to get their appetite going, The Diner brings the great taste of America to the UK, serving all of your favourites from Memphis ribs to a Brooklyn brownie and more, there’s something for everyone!

As a Duty Manager, you’ll support the team to welcome hundreds of guests into the venue each break, providing them with an altogether more fun and entertaining holiday and helping them to create memorable experiences that will last a lifetime…! It’s always showtime at Butlin’s! You’ll be part of a big team of people who are responsible for providing our guests with an altogether more fun and entertaining holiday.

The purpose of this role is to:
*Role-model behaviour by leading the way as a visible presence in the venue, delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests
*Lead and develop the team with support of the manager
*Demonstrate effective communication and ensure your team are up to date with relevant information
*Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness within the team and the venue
*Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation
*With the support of the manager, have the ability to analyse KPI’s to control food costs and labour
*Be able to follow and implement stock control systems to maximise gross profit margin

We’re looking for candidates who:
*Have experience of working in a leadership role in a volume-driven restaurant environment
*Level 2 in Food Hygiene is essential, Level 3 Food Hygiene is desirable 
*Knowledge of stocktaking, labour control and health and safety practises in busy catering environments
*Hold a personal license (desirable)
*Thrive when working in a fast paced, high-volume environment
*Are passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to guests and visitors
*We believe that your experience in a similar role will mean that you understand systems and processes such as labour budgets, food safety and health & safety, stock taking and delivering a positive gross profit

Typical working hours: you will need to have a flexible approach to your working hours as we are open seven days a week. The role will consist of evenings, weekends and split shifts, and shift patterns vary between 7am and 11pm.

Salary expectations: £23,000 per annum, with the potential of joining the bonus scheme of 5%
