Role information
The
Finance department are looking to recruit a full time Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to
join the team. Working as part of a small Finance team you will take
responsibility for the routine Finance tasks to ensure that our accounts are
accurately reported so that sound business decisions can be made. You will also
have the opportunity to demonstrate a desire to develop your skills by getting
involved with our journey of continuous improvement.
Areas
of responsibility
* Ensure that stock systems are reconciled and provide information to internal and external auditors
* Support resort teams with purchase ledger queries, following the Bourne Leisure processes and procedures
* Support Bourne central Finance team with various requests
* Produce weekly accounts in order to provide commentary and identify risks and opportunities
* Support with Month end accounting
* Support with Year end accounting
* Ensure Balance Sheet is reconciled
* Respond to operational teams by guiding them with any Finance related queries
* Support the budget and forecast process to ensure challenging yet achievable targets are set in line with our strategy and mission statement.
* Having a keen eye for detail
* You will be able to draw data from a variety of systems, analyses & present in a meaningful way
* You will be able to use Excel to produce ad-hoc reporting as needed by the business
* At times you will be required to support the Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner and cashiers with ad-hoc work and projects.
The ideal
candidate can demonstrate the following:
* Be an
excellent communicator, confident in both written form and face to face
* Part qualified
accountant working towards your qualification with previous experience in
a similar role
* Intermediate Excel level
* Accurate
and able to meet deadlines
* Able to
manage their time and prioritise work
