About the role
To work together as a team, communicating effectively and always being willing to help and support my team to get the job done.
Welcoming and helping to train new and current members of the team.
To attend regular team and Company meetings where required, including daily team briefings.
To fully engage with our customers, making sure I am always welcoming, approachable, helpful, friendly and respectful.
To follow the ‘Chopstix Steps of Service’ greeting and welcoming our customers, providing information, recommendations and up-selling for every customer, every time.
To make sure I always follow the portion guidelines set out by the company.
To know the menu inside out so I can quickly and accurately guide our customers through the ordering process.
Knowing and understanding how to use the till and other systems properly.
Making sure the restaurant is kept well stocked with (drinks, cutlery, boxes, food, etc.) so we don’t disappoint our customers.
Making sure the restaurant is always clean, tidy, and safe (including clearing and cleaning tables quickly, changing bins, sweeping and cleaning floors, cleaning counter glass and trays and making sure the outside of the restaurant is clear at all times).
To work closely with the Kitchen Team to make sure our food is of the highest quality, meeting the company required food specifications every time.
To report any shortfalls, breaches or discrepancies in relation to food, food handling, food hygiene and health and safety to the Restaurant Management team in a timely manner.
To deal with customer complaints in a professional manner, escalating matters to the manager on shift if I am not able to resolve them myself.
To make sure that I understand and live by the expectations set out in my contract, the Chopstix Employee Handbook and in all company policies, processes, and practices at all times.
To make sure that I am fully up to date with all H&S training.
Ensuring the Company Health, Hygiene and Safety Standards are being met at all times, including timely completion of checklists and providing up to date allergen advice to our customers.
To deal with or tell my manager about any faulty equipment or anything that could put at risk the health, safety and welfare of others…quickly!
The ideal candidate:

• Experience working within the fast-paced world of hospitality is a must and ideally this would be as an experienced Team Member
