Supermarket Duty Manager

We are looking for a Duty Manager to assist in overseeing the operation of our busy Supermarkets. As a Duty manager you will be required support the Venue Manager to ensure the overall profits, success and smooth running of the venue by maintaining a fantastic memorable guest experience, which will delight our families. You will lead your team to deliver exceptional customer service and bring a refreshing outlook to the Supermarkets.

Purpose of the role


As a role model, lead and motivate your team to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times
Have a proactive approach to sales and service, providing on the job coaching to help your team to provide a fast, friendly and efficient standard of service
Effectively implement sales strategies
Set high standards in team performance, leading by example to ensure that every sales opportunity is taken advantage of.
Effectively plan the daily operation and allocate tasks to maximise productivity.
Assisting the manager to ensure control of stock ordering, gross profit, team and rotas
Supporting the department with team selection and recruitment 
Adhere to all H&S and Food Safety regulations 

What are we looking for?


Has previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a retail shops environment
Previous cash handling experience 
Self-motivated 
Strong communication skills 
Committed team player 
Have a problem solving attitude 
Able to work under your own initiative and make decisions.
