Junior iOS Developer 


We are looking for a hands-on iOS App Developer with a passion for creating innovative digital experiences, to help us launch the next generation of best-in-class mobile apps to the millions of guests of our Butlin’s, Haven and Warner brands.
  
It’s not often that you get to join a newly created team that has clearly defined goals, users eagerly awaiting your product, and the chance to deliver challenging functionality across geolocation, gaming, food and drink ordering, tickets, queuing, and many physical world interactions such as door unlocking.  
   
Directly impacting what we build, and how we build it, this exciting opportunity will see you become a crucial player in an autonomous product squad, alongside architects, engineers and experience designers. Your goal will be to build innovative, user friendly iOS apps that work seamlessly with every user interaction. 
  
From finding and booking the perfect break to experiencing the multitude of activities and restaurants on offer, the products you build will reach the hands of hundreds of thousands of people every week, and over 4 million annually. 
 
 
Your responsibilities 
•Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform 
•Actively engage with cross-functional team collaborations to define and design new  solutions and features  
•Work with product managers and interface designers to create seamless mobile  experiences 
•Work with outside data sources and APIs 
•Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general  reliability 
•Troubleshoot bugs that arise during testing and after products are shipped to users,  methodically testing possible solutions to fix problems 
•Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize  development efficiency 
 
Skills and experience 
•BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience  
•Proven software development experience and iOS skills development  
•Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle  
•You will excel if you have published at least one original iOS app  
•Familiarity with deployment and administration of various Native iOS app frameworks,  and the coding languages and toolkits that support them. For example: Objective-C,  Swift; Apple Xcode; iOS SDK 
•Experience with remote data via REST and JSON would be a bonus  
•Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and  emerging technologies and an appetite to keep this knowledge up to date 
•You have built many of the core features that power our customer journeys.


For example:   
oHoliday search (fast and dynamic with advanced filtering, indexing)    
oBooking (ecommerce, save basket, shortlisting, sharing)    
oActivities (booking and scheduling, calendar reminders, recommendations)   
oRestaurants (booking, ordering, interactive menus, on-park delivery)   
oSecure payments (Paypal, Apply Pay, Google Pay, Stripe, Direct Debit, Pre-pay virtual  wallets)    
oMaps (interactive apps, location based personalisation and push notifications)    
oSign up and sign in functionality (any device, any brand, SSO)    
oAccount functionality (Past and current bookings, invoices, eSign)    
oCustomer support (live chat, online and on-park issue reporting)    
oRatings and reviews (linked to guests to power recommendations, loyalty and referral  schemes)  
•You ideally have experience with other app development approaches, such as Cross- Platform Development (REACT) and Android app development and toolkits.
