Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Category manager leads the development, implementation and execution of all sourcing, category management and procurement for spend in their category across our three brands.  The category they manage will be one that has a particularly material impact on our stakeholders either due to it's financial, guest or team impact.
Working closely with the relevant leaders in each brand as well as at parks, resorts and hotels they will develop and drive category sourcing strategies and ensure we get maximum value from all spend while driving service, innovation and quality to ensure our guest and teams are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities 
•Select and manage suppliers, supply chains and contractual arrangements that fulfill our guest propositions across the three brands consistently and to the highest standards possible
•Will either formally manage or informally support and coach more junior members of the team
•Play a key role in the Procurement Team supporting and contributing to procurement strategy in Bourne Leisure
•Lead specific activities across the department and business as agreed with Head of Procurement
•Accountable for continuous improvement in their category including supplier management, operational and tactical purchase process change and building future capabilities.
•Accountable for sourcing and procuring all spend in their category
•Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the supply base remains fit for purpose as the product proposition and business needs evolve

Essential Skills 
•Experience of strategic sourcing and category management in relevant categories and industries
•Proven history of developing and executing sourcing and procurement engagements
•Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
Desirable Skills:
•MCIPs qualified
•Strong financial and commercial experience
•Hospitality or multiple industry experience
