Purpose of the role
In your role as Infrastructure Engineer at Bourne Leisure you will provide business as usual support as well as project support to our 3 brands (Haven Holiday , Butlin’s and Warner Leisure Hotels). This will include providing technical expertise on the challenges and considerations with hosting new business critical applications. Attending technical workshops and sharing your knowledge with the wider department is also a key element of the role.
You have a strong working knowledge of data centre management, storage solutions and the Microsoft stack and have experience in trouble shooting infrastructure issues.
Out of hours support is required as part of this role.

Key Responsibilities 
•Provide business as usual support for the IT Infrastructure estate at Bourne Leisure
•Manage and develop the infrastructure within your specified technology stack. This includes hardware, operating systems, agreed software products, and all related security aspects, etc. – incl. ensuring documentation is maintained
•Work with Service Delivery Managers, Project Managers and other IT teams to ensure successful delivery of new projects / technologies and effective resolution of issues
•Provide technical expertise and consultancy to IT colleagues on all infrastructure aspects of design & implementation
•Design, implement and handover into production of technical solutions to meet specified business requirements including Low Level Design documentation
•Create documentation for systems, products and processes in the IT infrastructure remit
•Provide out of hours support for IT infrastructure services (as agreed with manager). This may include some ‘on call’ duties, create documentation for operational processes and standards for all systems where required, maintain asset lists and improve monitoring.
•Coach and support technical analysts to optimise performance and improve the quality and consistency of applied analysis, design and service/solution delivery
•Compliance with IT Security & Governance processes, such as Change & Release.
•Administration: Timesheets are accurate and holidays, working from home, sickness, off site visits and project work are all accurately accounted for.
Key Relationships
Qualifications and Experience 
•Physical and virtual server administration
•Data Centre storage solutions (SAN, 3PAR)
•Linux operating systems
•VMWare and Citrix virtualisation 
•Windows Server technologies including SCCM, Radius and Authentication, Storage, DFS, Replication and Active Directory
•Backup and replication products 
•Advanced troubleshooting of complex virtual and physical clustered infrastructures
•Antivirus software such as Symantec
•Office 365, ADFS, MS MIM
Skills & Experience
•Experience in technical support and design 
•Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, combined with solid awareness of other IT areas
•Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Understanding of systems architecture and technology development lifecycles
•Ability to work well in a team environment
•Ability to manage business as usual and project work side by side
•Demonstrable prior experience working in a similar role
